AI Aunt: Individualized cancer therapy achieves phase Intismeran III clinical success

According to CoinMeta, as reported by AI, the personalized cancer therapy Intismeran jointly developed by Moderna, a pharmaceutical development company, and Merck has achieved positive results in Phase III clinical trials. After surgery, 1,137 high-risk melanoma patients were treated with a combination of Intismeran and Keytruda. Compared to using Keytruda alone, there was a significant improvement in two main outcome indicators: recurrence and distant metastasis. The uniqueness of this drug lies in the fact that each patient's treatment plan is tailored to their individual needs. Doctors sequence the patient's tumors and blood to identify unique mutations in the cancer cells. Then, Moderna an algorithm is used to analyze these mutations to predict up to 34 "neoantigens" that are most likely to trigger an immune response, which are subsequently encoded into a mRNA specifically designed for that patient. The success of this Phase III trial at least demonstrates the feasibility of the "one-person, one-drug" treatment approach in large-scale clinical trials.
