According to CoinMeta, Injective registered through its affiliated company Injective Institutional Services as a transfer agent for SEC, enabling it to legally maintain records of tokenized securities holders, handle changes in ownership, distribute tokens, and carry out other corporate actions. Injective stated that this move extends its tokenization services from asset issuance and trading to regulated securities infrastructure, which is used to record the legal ownership and transfers of tokenized securities. Injective had previously launched perpetual contracts including those related to unlisted companies such as OpenAI; on that day, the native token INJ of these contracts rose by about 8%, with a market value of approximately 450 million US dollars.
