According to CoinMeta, as reported by A early issuer of in in 2021, the yield on Japan's 10-year government bonds rose to 2.945%, reaching the highest level in nearly 30 years. The Japanese government has allocated 31 trillion yen for debt repayment, and the Ministry of Finance predicts that the annual debt service cost may rise to 41 trillion yen in the fiscal year 2029. Traders expect the Bank of Japan to raise interest rates by 25 basis points twice, possibly around January next year, with the policy rate potentially reaching 1.5%. Ichifu Mienaka suggests that the end of this interest rate hike cycle could be around 1.75%. The market is paying attention to the window for personnel adjustments at the Bank of Japan in 2027, and the bank may wish to complete the main interest rate hikes before that time.
