Leon Cooperman: The U.S. economy may fall into recession next year, and a rebound in inflation will hit U.S. stock valuations hard

According to CoinMeta, Leon Cooperman, CEO of omega advisors, warns that the U.S. economy may fall into recession next year, which could drag down the stock market. He pointed out that after the Iran war, the price of Brent crude oil remained at $90 per barrel, and retail sales declined by 0.6% month-on-month in July; a rebound in inflation will hit stock valuations. Cooperman believes there is a deviation between market expectations and the earnings growth of the S&P 500, and he avoids tech stocks. On Tuesday, the yield on U.S. 30-year Treasury bonds reached 5.33%, the highest since June 2007. He stated that the current market is generally bullish, but once negative catalysts appear, investors will quickly sell off.
