According to CoinMeta, in the first monetary policy decision after the appointment of Acting Governor Destry Damayanti, the Indonesian Central Bank decided to maintain the policy interest rate unchanged, keeping the benchmark rate at 5.75% for the second consecutive month, which was in line with market expectations. Since the beginning of this year, the Indonesian Central Bank has raised interest rates by a total of 100 basis points to support the local currency and investor confidence. Damayanti stated in her speech that as the central bank utilizes all monetary policy tools and expands incentives to attract foreign investment, the Indonesian rupiah is expected to continue to strengthen. She also maintained her forecast for Indonesia's economic growth to be between 4.9% and 5.7% in 2026 and noted that she will continue to coordinate with the government to support economic development.
