According to CoinMeta, Wu said that the Binance security team recently discovered a malicious governance proposal from a certain project DAO. The attackers attempted to exploit a vulnerability in the governance mechanism, putting approximately $1.2 million worth of treasury tokens at risk. Since there were less than 48 hours until the proposal was to be executed, Binance promptly notified the project team and coordinated with other exchanges to suspend the recharge of related tokens. In the end, the project voted to reject the proposal, preventing the attack from being carried out and avoiding any financial losses. The name of the project involved has not been disclosed by Binance.
