According to CoinMeta, emerging market stock benchmarks ended a four-day upward trend, and currency indices also fell from historical highs. Global bond sales, coupled with rising oil prices, put pressure on market risk sentiment. The emerging market stock index fell by 0.7%, mainly due to the decline in the stock prices of Samsung Electronics and TSMC. The emerging market currency index fell by 0.1%, and the US dollar strengthened for the first time in four days. Chris Turner, head of global markets at ING Group, stated that large-scale sales in the US long-term bond market are usually bad news for emerging market currencies and overall risk.
