Tensions in the Middle East lead to turmoil in bond and stock markets

According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Reuters, on Tuesday there was an acceleration in the selling of U.S. Treasury bonds, with the yield on 30-year Treasuries rising to its highest level in nearly 20 years. Concerns over the escalation of the Middle East conflict intensified inflationary pressures, which dampened the stock market. The price of Brent crude oil rose for a third consecutive day, reaching its highest point since last month. Market reactions indicate that the situation in the Middle East remains an important source of risk, and any new escalation could have an impact on oil prices, bonds, currencies, and stocks. Traders estimate the probability of a Fed interest rate hike at its September meeting to be 36.6%, down from 48.4% a week ago.
