Harmony Announces Rollback Plan for Attack Incident, Restoring Status to
2026-08-18 11:49:36
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Harmony has announced a rollback plan for the attack incident, restoring the states of shard 0 and shard to 23:57 on August 11th at 09:37 the next day (Beijing time) in order to completely remove the 2.385 trillion ONE illegally minted by the attackers. This attack caused ONE to fall by more than 30% at one point. Harmony stated that since the forged ONE has already circulated through exchanges, DEX, cross-chain bridges, and staking addresses, targeted destruction, blacklisting, or selective restoration of transactions could potentially harm unrelated funds. Therefore, a fixed-window rollback is considered the least risky solution.
