According to CoinMeta, Israel's largest cryptocurrency broker “Bits of Gold” reported that its platform was subjected to a coordinated attack, resulting in the theft of personal data from approximately 200,000 customers. Based in Tel Aviv, the company stated that hackers unauthorizedly accessed a third-party data analysis network and obtained customers' names, national identification cards, email addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, bank account information, and public wallet addresses. Bits of Gold promptly severed connections with the source of the information to prevent further damage. The company mentioned that the attack did not expose any funds, private keys, passwords, or credit card and debit card codes. Investigation results indicate that this hacker attack is part of a larger global incident; within the past week, the crypto industry has reported three major data breaches.
