According to CoinMeta, the company led by Tom Lee, Bitmine, now holds 4.8% of the total Ethereum supply after its latest purchases of Ethereum. In a statement on Monday, the company stated that it purchased an additional 9,926 Ethereum last week, continuing its weekly purchasing trend since June 2025. Bitmine currently holds 5.815 million Ethereum, which is worth approximately $11 billion at current prices. Lee noted that the ratio between Ethereum and Bitcoin has broken a downward trend that has persisted for many years, indicating that investors are beginning to expect an increase in demand for Ethereum from tokenization and AI applications. He expects that the loose financial environment will be beneficial for the crypto market. Over the past 24 hours, Ethereum has risen by about 1.6%, and the stock BMNR of Bitmine has traded up more than 2% today. In addition, the company also repurchased 1.7 million of its own shares last week and now holds 20.8 million shares, with a total repurchase plan amounting to $4 billion.
