According to CoinMeta, Bitpanda has become the first Austrian cryptocurrency company to be publicly fined for not complying with MICA regulations. The regulatory authorities imposed a fine of 70,000 euros on the company for failing to submit its white paper on time and for publishing non-compliant marketing content. This marks the first enforcement case in Austria since the MICA regulations came into effect in 2024.
