BitMart Employee Hijacks X Account, Demands Unfreezing of Funds by the 19th: Five Questions
2026-08-17 21:15:39
According to CoinMeta, an employee of BitMart claimed to have hijacked the company's Chinese X account and raised five concerns regarding the freezing of users' funds with founder Sheldon Xia and partner Yi Li, demanding a response by August 19th. The employee requested the company to disclose detailed information about its assets, liabilities, wallets, and available reserves, and questioned why a large number of users are still unable to withdraw their funds normally. BitMart recently shut down its services and is facing serious allegations of poor asset management. Founder Sheldon Xia stated that the employee's claims are false rumors and plans to take legal action. Blockchain investigator ZachXBT questioned this response, arguing that if the company does indeed have liquidity, it should return the funds to users directly rather than issuing vague statements.
