According to CoinMeta, Alibaba has officially released the AI music model HappyShrimp 1.0, known in Chinese as "Happy Xiami." Users only need to describe a mood, a story, or a musical idea, and the model can complete the tasks of writing lyrics, composing music, arranging the track, and performing vocals to generate a complete song. This model focuses on natural language understanding; users do not need to learn music tags, as the model will automatically decide on the genre, instrumentation, vocals, and song structure. Complex instructions can also be used to control aspects such as melody, tonality, instruments, vocal gender, singing style, and emotional progression. The model uses an end-to-end approach for generating entire songs, addressing common issues in music such as mechanical vocals, mismatch between lyrics and music, and loose song structure. Alibaba has also launched a music platform with the same name, AI, where users can publish, listen to, and share the musical works of others. The service is currently available on both domestic and international web platforms, while a standalone mobile app APP is still in preparation. With the launch, Alibaba also announced a partnership with Taihe Music Group, and new users can receive free credits to experience the service.
