2026-08-17 10:40:27
According to CoinMeta, as reported by GoPlusSecurity, a data breach occurred with the order tracking plugin of Safepal. Approximately 398,000 users' order details (including names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses) were leaked. Although the wallets and mnemonic phrases remain secure, this has created an opportunity for targeted phishing attacks, and scammers have already begun to take action. Safepal emphasizes that they will never request users to provide their mnemonic phrases or private keys, and users should avoid scanning random QR codes or disclosing any verification information.
