Goldman Sachs: The labor market "is not interesting," and inflation dominates the Fed's debates

According to CoinMeta, Goldman Sachs stated that the labor market "is not interesting," and inflation continues to dominate the policy debates of the Federal Reserve. Last week's data met expectations, prompting a slight rebound in the bond market, and the pricing for the September meeting eased slightly. Unexpected data, however, drove the S&P 500 index to a new closing high on Thursday. Goldman Sachs pointed out that significant government bond issuances and the record level of corporate debt supply related to infrastructure construction are still structural factors contributing to rising long-term yields. Mike Mitchell, head of bond and inflation trading at Goldman Sachs, said that despite weak employment data, its impact on policy paths is limited, and inflation remains the central focus for the Federal Reserve. Mitchell believes that current real yields, near the historical highs of 2.5% and 3%, offer value for long-term investors.
