According to CoinMeta, NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA) will invest up to $3 billion in Lancium, a power infrastructure developer responsible for the Stargate data center project located in Abilene, Texas. The transaction is divided into two parts: an initial investment of $2 billion to acquire approximately 20% of Lancium's equity, followed by an additional $1 billion investment if the company achieves specific targets. Lancium's flagship project is the 1,000-acre Lancium clean campus, which has become Stargate's first operational site. NVIDIA stated at a private event in Taipei that the return on AI's infrastructure investments has significantly rebounded over the past six months and is now profitable on a scale basis. The investment from NVIDIA will provide growth capital for Lancium and may lead to a IPO in 2027.
