Berkshire Ends 14 Quarters of Selling Wave, Alphabet Becomes Third-Largest Stock Investment

According to CoinMeta, Berkshire Hathaway significantly increased its investment in Alphabet during the second quarter, making it its third-largest stock holding and ending a streak of 14 consecutive quarters of net sales. According to regulatory documents released after the market closed on Friday, Berkshire holds nearly 106 million shares of Alphabet, worth about $37.8 billion, second only to Apple and American Express. Compared to 57.8 million shares three months ago, Berkshire's holding in Alphabet has increased by 83%. In addition, during the second quarter, Berkshire also agreed to invest $10 billion in a private equity deal related to the expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure with Alphabet.
