2026-08-16 02:32:31
According to CoinMeta, the CBOE BZX exchange has submitted an application to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to list its first 3x leveraged Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These products are designed to aim for three times the daily return of their underlying assets before deducting fees and expenses. The proposal also covers commodities such as gold, silver, crude oil, and natural gas. Each fund will strive to achieve a 3x daily target related to its designated benchmark and will primarily use futures contracts listed on the CME exchange during the first and second months. It is worth noting that these products will not hold physical Bitcoin, Ethereum, gold, silver, crude oil, or natural gas, but will mainly hold benchmark futures contracts as well as cash and cash equivalents used for margin or collateral.
