African financial company issues $431 million in digital bonds, a first for African institutions

According to CoinMeta, African Financial Company ( Africa Finance Corporation ) issued digital bonds worth 350 million Swiss francs (approximately $431 million) through the SDX platform of the Swiss Stock Exchange ( SIX ). This is the first time that an African institution has issued digital bonds through a central securities depository institution ( CSD ) and a stock exchange. The five-year bonds have a coupon rate of 1.4925% and were arranged by Deutsche Bank ( Commerzbank AG ) and Commerzbank ( Deutsche Bank ).
