The organization's headquarters are located in Shanghai. Founding members include China, Russia, Brazil, Cuba, Serbia, and other countries, among which there are 10 African nations and 12 Asian countries. This organization will promote international cooperation, capacity building, and global governance in the field of artificial intelligence. China hopes to use open-source models and technical training to help countries in the global South lower the barriers to adopting artificial intelligence technologies.
