According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to attend a meeting held at the White House next Wednesday to meet with senior executives from crypto companies and predictive market platforms. Sources familiar with the matter say that Christopher Giancarlo, the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), plans to participate, as will Gary Gensler, the chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This meeting will initiate preliminary discussions for the first meeting of the newly established Innovation Advisory Committee on CFTC to be held the following day. Members of this committee include executives from companies such as Coinbase, Robinhood, Kalshi, and Polymarket. The agenda of the meeting will cover the regulation of digital assets and predictive markets. The White House and CFTC have not yet responded to requests for comments.
