OpenAI Achieves Annual Revenue of $40 Billion, Why Did Management Resign Ahead of Time?
2026-08-15 01:14:54
According to CoinMeta, OpenAI's latest year's optimized revenue has reached $40 billion, nearly twice that of the same period last year. However, two senior executives of the company announced their resignations on the eve of IPO, which drew attention from the market. Analysts believe that this may be due to a secondary sale of employee stock worth $7 billion that allowed the executives to realize profits before the company went public. OpenAI also appointed Dali Rajic as the new Chief Revenue Officer to maintain stability during the IPO period. The market predicts that the likelihood of OpenAI going public before 2026 is only 19%. Meanwhile, competitor Anthropic expects its annual revenue to reach $100 billion and is advancing its own IPO process.
