Binance Research: Gen Z's Crypto Trading Habits Disrupt Tradition
2026-08-14 23:52:06
According to CoinMeta, new platform data released on August 12 by Binance indicates that Generation Z users have a lower frequency of trading compared to other working-age groups, and they tend to allocate more of their funds to non-leveraged ETF. The study found that 22% of Generation Z individuals with direct stock accounts have never placed a sell order, indicating a preference for asset allocation over short-term trading. The average trading frequency of Generation Z in direct stock trading is 8 times per month, which is lower than the 10 times per month for Millennials. Although Generation Z is less involved in leveraged and reverse ETF trading, their investment proportion in non-leveraged ETF is increasing month by month, showing a growing acceptance of fund investments.
