According to CoinMeta, the shares of Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) rose today due to the company's announcement of a $5 billion AI expansion fund plan. The funds will be raised through debt issuance. AMD shares closed up 0.02% (0.08 points) on August 13, 2026, and further rose 0.43% (2.09 points) in pre-market trading. This increase was also influenced by the cooling of inflation data in the United States, with the consumer price index ( CPI ) in July at 3.4%. Analysts are optimistic about AMD and expect its Helios chips to bring considerable returns in the fourth quarter of this year.
