According to CoinMeta, Guangdong has launched its first metaverse economy-specific financial product, “token Loan,” in Haizhu District, Guangzhou. Banks incorporate the token consumption volume of AI enterprises into the loan quota determination process. Taking the Guangzhou branch of the Bank of China as an example, the newly introduced “Computing Power token Loan” is aimed at small and medium-sized computing power enterprises in Haizhu. The bank determines credit limits by referring to enterprise contracts and token consumption volumes, supporting credit loans, accounts receivable pledges, and order financing. Newly established companies are also eligible to apply. The Bank of China has already granted a trial credit line of 28 million yuan in the early stages. Previously, Haizhu had already utilized token for the support of AI enterprises, with daily consumption reaching 100 million, 500 million, and 1 billion token in the recent six months, allowing for different levels of computing power subsidies. Now, token has been incorporated into the bank’s credit system and has become a reference indicator for determining loan quotas.
