According to CoinMeta, the Hong Kong government of China announced on Friday that it has raised its GDP growth forecast for 2026 to 3.5-4.5%, from the previous forecast of 2.5-3.5%. Economic advisor Fan Wan'er stated that Hong Kong's economy should see steady growth in the second half of this year. Global demand for artificial intelligence-related electronic products is strong, and it is expected to continue to support Hong Kong's merchandise trade performance. The revised data shows that Hong Kong's GDP grew by 4.3% year-on-year in the second quarter and decreased by 0.6% quarter-on-quarter, which is consistent with previous estimates.
