JPMorgan will cease providing banking services to Polymarket by the end of 2025

According to CoinMeta, JPMorgan Chase ceased operations for the decentralized forecasting market platform Polymarket at the end of 2025. In October 2025, the bank informed Polymarket that it needed to find other banking partners due to regulatory concerns. Although Polymarket has since switched to another lending institution, the name of that company has not been disclosed. In 2022, Polymarket was banned from serving US users because CFTC imposed a $1.4 million settlement on the platform for operating an unregistered derivatives trading venue. Nevertheless, the company re-entered the US market at the end of 2025, as the Trump administration relaxed federal regulations. Even after cutting off formal banking ties, JPMorgan maintained some form of contact, such as inviting Polymarket's CEO Shayne Coplan to speak at a private client meeting in February 2026, and it is still seeking opportunities for future IPO.
