According to CoinMeta, the Norwegian government's global pension fund disclosed that as of June 30th, it held approximately 6.15 million shares of Bitmine Immersion Technologies, valued at around $81.87 million. This indirect holding in the shares of a listed company allowed the fund to gain exposure to ETH without directly purchasing ETH. Bitmine did not appear in the fund's holdings report at the end of 2025, and the documents related to the purchase of these shares did not disclose the timing or cost of the acquisition. Previously, it was reported that as of August 9th, the fund held about 5.805 million ETH coins, of which approximately 5.067 million were used for collateral purposes.
