According to CoinMeta, OpenAI has announced the launch of a screen observation and memory function (Chronicle) on Codex. This feature is only available to ChatGPT Pro users on macOS. Once enabled, the Codex client will request permissions for screen recording and auxiliary functions, continuously capturing screen shots, and saving these screenshots in local memory files for use as context in the next session. This feature is not currently available to users in the European Union, the UK, and Switzerland. Compared to the previous memory system, the new solution consumes less token and is capable of recording users' actions such as clicks, inputs, and shortcuts, organizing them into a timeline and local memory.
