According to CoinMeta, Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of U.S. President Donald Trump and his special envoy for peace, plans to travel to Israel next week to hold talks regarding the Gaza situation. The United States continues to push forward diplomatic efforts in hopes of making progress on its long-delayed peace plan. This visit comes after Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu rejected a 15-point proposal put forward by a "peace committee." The proposal includes disarming Hamas, handing over Gaza to a new Palestinian government, and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the Gaza Strip. The United States and Israel have reached an agreement on the desired outcomes regarding Gaza and will continue to cooperate on other issues of common concern. Kushner may also visit other Middle Eastern countries to discuss this Gaza plan with regional partners.
