According to CoinMeta, a report on the crypto industry's revenue for the first half of 2026 released by 1kx shows that total cryptocurrency revenue decreased by 23% to $47 billion year-on-year. In terms of finance-related revenue, CEX, derivatives, and market maker revenues fell by $5.2 billion, on-chain DeFi revenues decreased by $1.8 billion, and ETF and fund management fees dropped by $1.1 billion. In terms of blockchain revenue, staking and mining rewards decreased by $6.2 billion, transaction fees and MEV were halved, with blockchain-related revenue accounting for 25% of the total revenue, hitting a historic low.
