According to CoinMeta, jeff, the founder of hyperliquid, announced that after the next network upgrade, hlp will automatically move USDC that is not being used for market-making into the hypercore native lending pool to earn interest. On-chain data shows that currently, hlp TVL amounts to approximately $188.7 million, of which the main account holds about $148.7 million in idle cash (accounting for nearly 79% of the total funds), with another approximately $40.06 million allocated across 7 sub-strategies. At present, the supply of USDC in the hyperliquid native lending pool is about 176 million, and the lending volume is about 112 million (with a utilization rate of 63.7%). The annual interest rate for borrowing is 5%, and the annual supply interest rate is about 2.87%. This move marks a shift for hlp from primarily serving as a fund pool for market-making and clearing to evolving into a multi-strategy treasury that automatically allocates capital.
