According to CoinMeta, former Google Chief Scientist Jeff Dean has left Google, where he worked for nearly 27 years, and co-founded Discovery Loop with Sanjay Ghemawat, Oriol Vinyals, and Quoc Le. The company plans to enable AI to automatically propose experiments, run them, and continue to iterate based on the results. In the initial phase, it will focus on machine learning research, with future expansion into chip, pharmaceutical, and materials research. Discovery Loop is in talks for a financing of around $1 billion, with a target valuation of about $10 billion. However, the deal has not yet been finalized, and the specific terms may still change.
