According to CoinMeta, the Trump administration in the United States announced the launch of a new initiative aimed at accelerating the transportation of goods between the U.S. and its closest trading partners, which are considered crucial for the development of artificial intelligence (AI). On Wednesday, the U.S. State Department stated that it would establish a pilot platform in Panama as part of the U.S.-led “Silicon-based Peace Plan” to expedite the trade of key AI products. The initiative is designed to strengthen supply chain cooperation among allies. The State Department mentioned in a statement that it would invest up to $50 million in foreign aid funds to develop and deploy this platform, which will utilize AI technology to speed up logistics processes. Jacob Helberg, the Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs at the U.S. State Department, said: “It is expected that this project will accelerate logistics and compliance procedures, with a focus on helping Panama and other participating economies to track and expedite the transportation of high-value goods from trusted suppliers. These goods include AI infrastructure, semiconductors, and key minerals, covering the entire AI supply chain.”
