Ravencoin Drops to a Historical Low Due to Consensus Vulnerability; Exchanges Suspend Deposits and Withdrawals
2026-08-12 15:05:37
According to CoinMeta, Ravencoin ( RVN ) has experienced transaction risks over multiple trading days due to a consensus vulnerability, and its price has now dropped to a historical low. On Wednesday, the price fell to $0.002754, which is a decrease of about 22% from the 24-hour high of $0.003529. During this period, the trading volume once exceeded $18 million before dropping back to around $9.6 million. On Tuesday, it was revealed that the vulnerability allowed vulnerable nodes to accept blocks that should have been rejected, potentially leading to the possibility of transaction reversals. To address this issue, the mining pool 2miners and ravenminer began to build a competing chain starting from block 4487776. Ravencoin recommended that exchanges temporarily stop deposit and withdrawal services for RVN until the network stabilizes.
