According to CoinMeta, KuCoin has announced that on August 11, 2026, at 6:00 (UTC), they will adjust the returns on some simple coin-making (current account) products and remove certain assets from the platform. This adjustment will affect 76 types of simple coin-making assets, and the returns will be allocated based on the corresponding subscribed assets. Instead of the fixed annualized return rate of 0.5% previously in KCS, the new return rate will be variable and may fluctuate depending on market conditions. Products affected by this change will no longer accept new subscriptions, and users' existing holdings will be automatically redeemed. Users' principal and generated earnings will be automatically transferred to their funding accounts. KuCoin stated that they will continue to optimize their products and services.
