According to CoinMeta, a report released by Vanguard indicates that the expected annual return on the U.S. stock market over the next 10 years is between 3.3% and 5.3%, which is significantly lower than the 15.26% of the past 10 years. Furthermore, Vanguard is even more pessimistic about so-called "growth stocks," predicting an annual return range of 1.9% to 3.9%, which is close to the 4% withdrawal rate relied upon by many retirees. The report also notes that other asset classes, such as U.S. Treasury bonds, are expected to perform better with an annual return range of 3.8% to 4.8%.
