According to CoinMeta, copper prices have entered a period of narrow fluctuations after six consecutive weeks of gains. Previously, tightening supply and alleviated concerns about U.S. interest rate hikes provided support for copper prices. Last week, copper prices broke through $14,000 per ton, reaching their highest level since the significant increase at the end of January. As markets expected the White House to announce import tariffs, a large amount of copper flowed into the United States, leading to a reduction in available copper supplies in other regions and driving up copper prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME). At the same time, reduced expectations for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates this year also further supported metal prices. CITIC Futures stated in a report: "It is expected that copper prices will remain high in the short term and continue to experience significant volatility."
