According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Yonhap News, a South Korean company has for years promoted tokens that were not listed on local exchanges through offline seminars, promising overseas listings and USDT dividends. The company's previously issued D-token reached a price of 20,976 South Korean won in September 2025, but by August 7th, it had fallen to the 200 won range, a decrease of 98% from its peak. The company is still accused of continuing to attract investments under the pretext of replacing with new tokens. Previously, due to the company not obtaining a license as a virtual asset service provider ( VASP ), the trading support for related tokens was terminated by GOPAX from 2022 to May 2026. In South Korea, 394 tokens have had their trading support terminated on exchanges, with this case being one of the most frequent due to project risks.
