According to CoinMeta, the shareholders of Core Scientific ( NASDAQ : CORZ ) rejected a takeover bid worth $9 billion. On July 28th, the company announced an important infrastructure partnership with AMD ( NASDAQ : AMD ), which is expected to begin providing more than 500 megawatts of data center capacity in the United States for the AMD ecosystem in 2027, with the potential to expand to 2.5 gigawatts in the future. The stock price of Core Scientific rose during pre-market trading. According to its financial reports, the agreement between Core Scientific and AMD covers approximately 530 megawatts of capacity, with potential contract revenue exceeding $14 billion. The signing of this agreement marks progress for Core Scientific in attracting new customers, especially after rejecting the acquisition bid from Coreweave.
