Brian Armstrong: Cryptocurrencies Enhance Access to Financial Services, Stablecoins and Tokenization Play a Significant Role
2026-08-09 23:32:56
According to CoinMeta, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated on platform X that the progress made by cryptocurrencies in expanding global access to financial services has been underestimated. He pointed out that stablecoins have brought the US dollar onto the blockchain, allowing global users to hold low-inflation currencies and transfer funds around the clock at extremely low costs. DeFi Tokenized stocks enable more people to access credit services, and tokenized stocks give approximately 4 billion people without securities brokerage accounts access to the US stock market. Bitcoin provides a means of wealth storage that is not easily devalued by inflation.
