According to CoinMeta, as reported by the South Korean newspaper "Seoul Economic Daily," Samsung Electronics has achieved a yield of 80% for HBM4, which is 4 months ahead of the original target. Samsung Electronics plans to increase third-quarter HBM4 revenue to more than three times that of the previous quarter and raise the proportion of HBM4 in overall HBM revenue to over 60% in the second half of the year. By the end of the year, the company aims to increase its HBM market share to around 38%. The increased HBM4 supply will drive the acceleration of NVIDIA Vera Rubin AI accelerator production. Professor Lee Jong - hwan from the Department of System Semiconductor Engineering at Sangmyung University in South Korea stated that Samsung Electronics can use the expanded HBM4 supply as a lever to rapidly increase its market share.
