Hasu: The problem with Ethereum lies in insufficient ecological investment, not excessive issuance
2026-08-09 11:34:42
According to CoinMeta, Hasu, the person in charge of the flashbots strategy, stated that the problem with Ethereum has never been excessive issuance of ETH, but rather insufficient investment in the ecosystem. He believes that the revenue generated by ETH issuance has supported institutions such as Lido, AAVE, and digital asset treasury companies. These institutions, in turn, continuously fund client teams, Ethereum Foundation-derived projects, and the construction of DeFi. If the issuance of ETH is reduced, it may weaken this source of funding and suppress subsequent ecosystem investments. He pointed out that the Ethereum research community previously underestimated the secondary and tertiary impacts of such adjustments.
