According to CoinMeta, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Khamenei stated on August 8 that Iran is in negotiations with Oman regarding the legal framework, management methods, and shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz, and the two sides are close to reaching an agreement. The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on the United States' remedial actions for any violations of the US-Iran memorandum of understanding. Iran believes that the existing traffic separation system is no longer applicable, and currently, both parties are discussing temporary shipping routes. The military departments of the two countries have begun consultations based on nautical charts.
