Xanadu Accelerates Chip Production; Investors Anticipate the Next Catalyst for Quantum Computing
2026-08-09 01:00:34
According to CoinMeta, Xanadu has announced an acceleration in chip production, with investors looking forward to the next catalyst in the race for scalable quantum computing. The company mentioned in its quarterly update report that it has achieved 0.085 dB of edge coupling loss, while the manufacturing of thin-film lithium niobate and silicon nitride has increased by 75% and 50% respectively. Higher wafer yields have accelerated the iteration of quantum bit factories, and the optical loss gap has been reduced by up to 200 times, although there is still a need for 5-10 more improvements. Xanadu has also expanded its developer channels through QROM, Frontier, cooperation with Lockheed Martin, and banking partnerships, despite monetization still being in its early stages. Optimism around the project is high ahead of potential updates, with $3.128 million in cash and $67.2 million in ATM revenues supporting faster roadmap investments.
