According to CoinMeta, researcher Lorenzo Valente stated that the Cloudflare financial report will show that the number of AI proxy requests on their network has increased by 1,700% year-on-year, and for this quarter, non-human traffic exceeded 50% of the total network traffic for the first time. If this trend continues, non-human traffic could reach 1,000 times that of human traffic in five years. Cloudflare processes about 500 million requests per second, and it is estimated that 1% to 10% of these could be monetized through micro or nano-trades, corresponding to an initial demand of about 10 million tps and a potential maximum of about 100 million tps in the future. However, the peak value is only about 20,000 tps. Valente believes that if AI proxies are paid per request, it would require the settlement layer to have a processing capacity several orders of magnitude higher than the current network, which, calculated at 10 million tps per transaction and 0.001 US dollar per transaction, could result in annual basic fees of about 315 billion US dollars. Therefore, stablecoins and cryptocurrencies are likely to become the ultimate form of AI proxy finance.
