According to CoinMeta, after the unexpected decline of 23,000 non-farm jobs in the U.S. in July, the price of gold rose above $4,300, hitting a seven-week high. According to the latest labor market report, the U.S. economy lost 23,000 jobs in July, which is lower than the expected 80,000 new jobs, leading to a reduction in market expectations for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates. Spot gold once broke through $4,340 during trading, and its gain on Friday suggests it could achieve its best weekly performance since January. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate dropped from 4.2% in June to 4.1%, but the labor participation rate fell to 61.4%, the lowest level in five and a half years.
