2026-08-07 21:54:01
According to CoinMeta, based on Santiment data, the number of active Bitcoin addresses significantly increased after the coldcard security incident, reaching 978,570 on July 31, which is approximately 1.6 times the average level of July. From August 1 to 6, the average daily number of active Bitcoin addresses was around 720,000, higher than the approximately 610,000 in July. However, the daily average inflow into exchanges during this period was about $1.55 billion, which is lower than the average of $1.67 billion in July. Santiment believes that the recent increase in activity on the blockchain is more likely to reflect wallet migrations rather than large-scale selling.
