According to CoinMeta, Coldcard has issued a statement stating that due to the legal and compliance requirements arising from the security incident disclosed on July 30th, Coldcard has temporarily suspended its automatic customer data deletion mechanism. Records that may be relevant to any litigation will be retained until it is legally permissible to resume normal procedures. Users can still request that Coldcard handle their personal information in accordance with the original data retention policy.
